Carolina Primary Suite

The clients purchased this home knowing that most everything was perfect except the lack of a primary bathroom. We designed a primary suite addition / conversion to make the house work better for them.

A large unfinished loft above the garage adjacent to the current primary bedroom provided the perfect space for a new, generous, primary suite. The new space includes a walk-in closet, toilet room, laundry, soaking tub, tile shower, and double vanity.
New, large windows and a vaulted ceiling keep the new primary suite extra bright and open. The large area above the garage translates to a generous floor plan. The existing walk-in closet became the passage to the new space while retaining much of the original closet space. The extra space between the bedroom and bathroom suite provides an ideal level of privacy. A heated tile floor adds an extra layer of comfort.
A new steel canopy provides much needed shelter over the front door and adds a modern touch to the street elevation.
