A 60's era poorly executed remodel left this 1920's home with a dark and poorly laid out kitchen. For the remodel we reconfigured the kitchen layout, replaced the windows, and moved one of them to optimize storage and bring additional light to the breakfast nook. With some modest modifications, the space was adapted to support a classic and functional galley kitchen layout.

The range, refrigerator, and wall ovens fill in along the interior wall allowing for a bright, open work-area along the exterior wall. The sink is located at an original bay allowing for an extra deep sill. A black and white checkerboard linoleum floor offer a nod to the 1920's era home, while providing a comfortable and practical flooring choice. A white oak built-in seating area anchors the East end of the kitchen and takes advantage of morning light.
